Dear CERPA members,
As discussed in our recent UPDATE, the CERPA Committee has agreed to help the new Security Committee with communications and administration of funds.
Further to this, the Security Committee has provided the following two options for discussion by the community:
In both cases, businesses and community members will be approached to fund the Establishment costs – offers of support in terms of hosting cameras and financial support were made in the meeting held 24 Oct 2024 and will be followed up. Option 1
Car Registration recognition cameras (already installed), High Definition cameras (18 to be installed), monitoring and maintenance of both sets of cameras and a response team of 4 local, trained individuals.
Establishment cost = R150 200,00
Monthly maintenance cost = R28 085,00
Household contributions
CERPA Members per developed ERF R170,00 per month (require 110 erven)
Non-CERPA Members R220,00 per month (require 40 erven)
Township Members R20,00 per month (require 40 erven)
Option 2
Car Registration recognition cameras (already installed), High Definition cameras (18 to be installed) and monitoring and maintenance of both sets of cameras (NO response)
Establishment cost = R105 000,00
Monthly maintenance cost = R12 585,00
Household contributions
CERPA Members per developed ERF R80,00 per month (require 110 erven)
Non-CERPA Members R110,00 per month (require 40 erven)

You do NOT need to be a CERPA member to pay towards security AND you do NOT have to pay towards Security if you are a CERPA member.
Please indicate your preference on this form BEFORE Wednesday 13 November whether you would be willing to contribute the indicated monthly rate for either:
Option 1- with a local response team or
Option 2 - without a local response team or
Neither Option 1 or Option 2
