We are looking for a new Operations Manager to join us as soon as possible.

The selected person will be responsible for the following activities within the CERPA mandate and acting on instruction from the CERPA committee:
Create and manage a system for the tracking of actions and for scheduling follow-up on all requests from the committee or CERPA members
Follow-up on a weekly basis with relevant GKM and ADM representatives on a list of projects approved by CERPA
Monitor service provision against tenders issued by GKM and ADM
Regular liaison with our Councillors Honey Pakamile and Taki Kyriacos to confirm that we have a single voice when chasing deliverables from GKM and ADM
Be the daily contact point between members and the CERPA committee and must be able to clearly and timeously reply to members questions and emails
Manage the conservancy tank emptying order forms for members
Work with the database manager to keep the database of members’ contact details up to date. Update the map of members on the wall in the office
Distribute the UPDATE newsletter via email and on notice boards
Manage the CERPA human resources and projects on a daily basis i.e Create a effective work hours capturing system and hand this over to treasurer for payments timeously
Monitor ablutions conservancy level and facilitate emptying, timeously re-order toilet paper for ablutions
Monitor the glass recycling bins and call owner to get them emptied BEFORE they overflow
Create and manage a clear and concise filing system for hard and soft copies of documents (invoices, pay roll, timesheets, assets register etc)
Must have a genuine interest in Chintsa East and the betterment thereof.
Computer literacy - Microsoft Word and Excel are a requirement, powerpoint or publisher skills would be an advantage
Must be able to work with Google drive
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Must be fluent in spoken IsiXhosa

Able to maintain a professional demeanour under pressure
Must demonstrate initiative, be resourceful and be able to work independently to resolve problems
Must be able to attend meetings and arrange own transport to meetings
