We are looking for a maintenance supervisor to join us as soon as possible.

The selected person will be responsible for the following activities within the CERPA mandate and acting on instruction from the CERPA committee:
Designation: CERPA – Maintenance Supervisor
3 hours flexitime, 3 days per week
QUALIFICATIONS
Driver’s license
2 years supervision experience
English speaker
Spoken Xhosa would be an advantage
Own vehicle with a tow hitch would be an advantage
JOB SPECIFICATION
Create a roster for maintenance of Chintsa East to include:
o Strimming and clearing of verges, public areas and road edges
o Pothole patching of roads within Chintsa East and Chintsa Drive up to the N2
o Monitoring the GKM garden refuse dump and notifying the committee when it needs clearing
o Monitoring of the beach ablutions block and notifying committee of any issues
o Checking streetlights and marking those which don’t work
o Special projects as approved by the CERPA committee
On working days allocate jobs to Maintenance Team and confirm that they have all the equipment required to fulfil their duties
Track performance of the Maintenance Team against requirements throughout the day and confirm completion at the end of the day
Collection of spares and consumables for Maintenance Team
Submit time sheets for Maintenance Team to Treasurer for payment
Telephonically respond to issues at the garden dump site (available by telephone 6 days per week)
Report to CERPA committee via the Operations Manager
RENUMERATION
R3,000.00 per month
Must have a genuine interest in Chintsa East and the betterment thereof.

Must demonstrate initiative, be resourceful and be able to work independently to resolve problems
